Stine Goosebumps books, which I still read and re-read today.Īt age nine, I started reading 'Salem's Lot, my first Stephen King book, and also started writing my own short stories (between thirty and forty pages) about me and my cousins. I can't really explain why horror has always attracted my attention so much, it's just who I am. I started reading at age three or four, and have always been drawn to the horror genre. I grew up in the suburbs north of Denver and have lived there my entire life. My three favorite writers and constants sources of inspiration are Stephen King, R.L. When I'm not writing a book or playing guitar I love to go to my local water park Water World, read old 70's, 80's, and 90's pulp horror paperbacks, and read old school silver age superhero comics. Hi, I'm Cameron Roubique and I'm a horror author living in Colorado with my wife, Darla, and cat Penny.
